Pham Minh Tan Scholarship Fund

Pham Minh Tan had received assistance from DUACT prior to going to pursue his higher learning in France.

The fund was initially established in his name to provide scholarships for able and hard working college students of various technical fields, such as medical, engineering, etc…

On Sunday 11/1/2015, a simple ceremony has taken place in My Tho to award scholarships to college students for school year 2014 - 2015

Present were :

Mr. Phạm Minh Tân, a Research Fellow in France, the founder of the MinhTan/DUACT Scholarship  Fund,

Mr. Trần Văn Bá – DUACT Executive Secretary in Vietnam,

Miss Lê Thị Chúc,

Miss Nguyễn Thị Phỉ , a benefactor -,

Miss Phạm Vũ Hương Trà, a research fellow and 17 recipient-students.

Among 20 qualified cases, there are 15 from the previous year and 5 new cases; however, only 17 were awarded because 3 have received other sources of assistance and have voluntarily  withdrawn from the program.

The recipients have received valuable encouragement and motivation from the organizers and guests to continue to do well in their studies. They expressed gratitude to the benefactors and to the Fund organizer.

The exchange of souvenirs and gifts concluded the ceremony.
